Overview
Product name | Recombinant Human FGF-12 Protein |
---|
Catalog No. | RP00064 |
---|
Description | Recombinant Human FGF-12 Protein is produced by E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Met1-Thr181) of human FGF-12 (Accession #NP_004104.3) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus. |
---|
Bio-Activity | Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human FGFR4 at 5 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind recombinant human FGF12 with a linear range of 35-100 ng/mL.

Background
The protein is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. This growth factor lacks the N-terminal signal sequence present in most of the FGF family members, but it contains clusters of basic residues that have been demonstrated to act as a nuclear localization signal. When transfected into mammalian cells, this protein accumulated in the nucleus, but was not secreted.

Usage guide
Storage | Store at -20℃.Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week. |
---|
Reconstitution | Centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid vortex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose), and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles. |
