Ferrostatin 1(Fer-1) is a selective Erastin-induced ferroptosis inhibitor with an EC50 value of 60nM. Ferroptosis is a regulated, oxidized, non-apoptotic cell death;Fer-1 inhibits oxidized, iron-dependent cancer cell death by blocking cystine transport and glutathione production.
