Description	Recombinant Human ICAM-3/CD50 Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Gln30-His485) of human CD50 (Accession #NP_002153.2) fused with an Fc, 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Bio-Activity	Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of THP-1 cells. When cells are added to ICAM-3 coated plates (12.5 μg/mL, 100 μL/well), approximately >50% cells will adhere specifically after 60 minutes at 37 ℃.
Purity	> 97% by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin	< 0.1 EU/μg of the protein by LAL method.

This protein is a member of the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, contain 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. This protein is constitutively and abundantly expressed by all leucocytes and may be the most important ligand for LFA-1 in the initiation of the immune response. It functions not only as an adhesion molecule, but also as a potent signalling molecule.

Usage guide

Storage	Store at -20℃.Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid vortex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose), and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles.
