Western blot analysis of various lysates using CD1d Rabbit mAb (A24163) at 1:1000 dilution.

Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Basic Kit (RM00020).

ABclonal:Immunofluorescence - CD1d Rabbit mAb (A24163)

Confocal imaging of Jurkat cells using CD1d Rabbit mAb (A24163, dilution 1:200) followed by a further incubation with Cy3 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (AS007, dilution 1:500)(Red). DAPI was used for nuclear staining (Blue). Objective: 100x.

ABclonal:Flow CytoMetry - CD1d Rabbit mAb (A24163)

Flow cytometry: 1X10^6 K-562 cells (negative control, left) and Jurkat cells (right) were surface-stained with CD1d Rabbit mAb (A24163, 2 μg/mL, orange line) or ABflo® 647 Rabbit IgG isotype control (A22070, 5 μl/Test, blue line), followed by Alexa Fluor® 647 conjugated goat anti-rabbit pAb staining. Non-fluorescently stained cells were used as blank control (red line).

Flow cytometry: 1X10^6 Jurkat cells were surface-stained with ABflo® 647 Rabbit IgG isotype control (A22070, 5 μl/Test, left) or CD1d Rabbit mAb (A24163, 2 μg/mL, right).

Background

This gene encodes a divergent member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The CD1 proteins mediate the presentation of primarily lipid and glycolipid antigens of self or microbial origin to T cells. The human genome contains five CD1 family genes organized in a cluster on chromosome 1. The CD1 family members are thought to differ in their cellular localization and specificity for particular lipid ligands. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to late endosomes and lysosomes via a tyrosine-based motif in the cytoplasmic tail. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
